Nigerian Electronic Media Content Exhibition and Awards (NEMCEA) Creative Academy is an offshoot of the NEMCEA Project that was kick-started by the Professional body of Electronic Media Content Owners Association of Nigeria (EMCOAN) in year 2022. The NEMCEA Creative Academy (NCA) becomes the addition to the offerings of the Association in the sophomore edition of NEMCEA in year 2023.

NCA is principally a Lagos-based but Pan-Nigeria Creative Academy that intends to train students/young minds and individuals that desires to have skills cum knowledge needed to be relevant and sought after in the content creative space in Nigeria with a focus on TV, Radio, and Online Media Business, thereby contributing immensely to the growth of the Creative Industry in Nigeria.

The Academy’s goal is to build and empower a community of young Nigerians:

• who are willing to learn, relearn and unlearn the creative skills to succeed in the industry
• who are desirous to learn the trade and the business of content creation,
• who will add value to themselves as young creative minds,
• that will understand the different business modules that work for all the facets of the industry
• those that are ready to disrupt the tradition with a view to impacting the economy and creatively add value to the society

NCA will offer both theoretical and practical steps to ensure that students are well prepared to challenge and stand on their own in the highly competitive creative industry in Africa.

Our focus will be the provision of a well-put-together, robust, and FREE physical learning creative module. These 3 months of innovative and engaging courses will vary from:

(1) Directing

(2) Sound Design

(3) Cinematography

(4) Content Creation/Script Writing

(5) Production Management

(6) Live Broadcast Production

(7) Editing/Post-Production

(8) Acting (Stage and Screen)

(9) Presentation

(10) Lighting Design

After which successful students will have an exceptional privilege of a One (1) year Internship/Mentorship programme where students will be assigned to members of EMCOAN and other Media Production companies that desire to help build a creative future in Nigeria. This rare opportunity affords the students the one on one with veterans and key players in the Media Content business from TV, Radio and Online space in Nigeria and ultimately possible employment offer.
